Frequently Asked Questions
Velocity Music is a community-driven record label where passion meets purpose, and every beat tells a story. Built for artists and fans alike, it transforms raw creativity into music that moves, inspires, and uplifts—sometimes even unlocking something... deeper.
At its core, Velocity Music thrives on collaboration, creating a bold, boundary-breaking space where emerging talent and seasoned creators unite to share their artistry. Here, sound isn't just a medium—it's a message. A pulse. A signal.
Fueled by innovation and an ever-growing network of creators, the label empowers artists to experiment fearlessly, crafting tracks that not only resonate, but sometimes echo something beyond the surface. (Those who know… know.)
Whether you're drawn to high-energy anthems or emotionally charged soundscapes, Velocity Music ensures each release hits where it matters most—leaving a mark that lingers longer than the last note.
Juristically:
The utilization and implementation of Artificial Intelligence ("AI") tools within the development of creative submissions to Velocity Music is permissible solely for the purposes of ideation, drafting assistance, or non-final composition input. However, pursuant to our internal content authenticity standards and in accordance with prevailing intellectual property norms under Title 17 of the U.S. Copyright Act, no portion of the final submitted work may be generated, in whole or in part, by an AI-based system.
A.k.a The use of AI in your creative works is accepted, as long as AI generated material DOES NOT END IN FINAL PRODUCT. Failure to do so will result getting your demo rejected and you put to our super secret watchlist.
And what that list is? Well, it wouldn't be very secret if we told what it was...
Yes, we do use AI in our work, but not the way most would assume.
USAGE OF AI IN THEVMEDIA
In occasional ideation & concepting, but Never in final products like: Artwork and Release tracks
In short, we never use AI in our final products, ever. In fact, using AI in our final products would actually be insulting to our vastly creative community, which we so deliberatelly try to praise for. By releasing in and following Velocity Music on its journey, you can be sure that we do not betray our fellow artists. AI only is a tool (think as like an untangling tool for us ADHD-people), but never will replace real artists.
Once you and the label have established a mutual interest on proceeding with the signage process, you (and potential collaborators and featured artists) are prompted to fill up the following documents:
Recording Masters Agreement (RMA):
This is a short-term deal that gives us the right to release and promote specific songs or EPs you create. This 1) is Non-exclusive or semi-exclusive, 2) Covers individual releases (not your whole career, yet), 3) Lets us handle distribution, promotion, and royalties for those tracks, and 4) A "Low-pressure way" for you to try out the label to see what it is like to work with us.
Music Recording Contract (MRC):
This is a full artist contract that covers multiple future releases. It usually happens after you’ve put out 2–3 tracks with us and we both feel good about building your artist journey more seriously. This 1) is for Long-term commitment, 2) Covers all future albums, EPs, singles going forward, 3) Includes artist development, marketing push, and possibly advances and 4) We'll invest more — and so do you
Artist Information Form:
This gives us an easy-to-briefly-look-at way to check out our artists' details at a glance and all responses are held condifental and not shared to anyone (except our Distributor, Label-Engine)
